Joe Erskine rejoined the firm in 2011, after having originally started in 2002. Joe served the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT), first as Chief Counsel and then as Deputy Secretary for Finance and Administration from 2007 to 2011. Joe brings with him a wide range of public and private corporate management and legal counsel experience.

 

Joe obtained a BSBA in Finance and Economics and an MBA with a Finance Emphasis from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. Before obtaining his law degree at the University of Kansas, Joe served in corporate finance positions with Mutual of New York, H & R Block, and Sprint Corporation. 

 

During his time at KDOT, Joe played a key role in developing financing strategies for public and private components for several important projects throughout the state of Kansas, including the T-Works, the 10-year transportation enhancement plan approved by the 2010 Kansas Legislature.

Joe's practice emphasis includes general corporate counsel, business and real estate transactions and litigation, governmental affairs, acquisition & relocation services for public projects, and eminent domain litigation.
